About this website

I don’t proclaim for one moment to be a sage in videography, photography or music. By profession I am a graphic designer with a huge interest in becoming proficient in cinematography and this represents my journey and thought processes from shooting with a humble iPhone & action cameras through to using my Canon mirrorless and then hopefully making the step up to owning and using a professional cinema camera such as the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and beyond.

This site is complimentary to a brand new YouTube channel I have launched that will feature my filming, photography and music where I will be sharing my methodology with anybody that is, or wants to join me on this journey. Everything featured on the channel including all the music, titling, special effects and of course the filming and photography itself will be produced solely by me unless otherwise stated. The whole thing will be done in a light hearted vlog style fashion and this site will be my blog to accompany it.

I would love you to join in our regular photography and micromovie challenges along the way which will be published on our MeWe group page. Skill levels or expensive equipment are not relevant, it’s about taking part, having a bit of fun and your own interpretation of the challenge. For example, our photography challenges are basically just 3 words, phrases or subjects that you interpret however you like and then post your images to the group. You really need nothing more than your camera phone to take part but of course if you have a lovely camera you are free to use that too. There are no prizes, although any standout ones may appear in one of our Vlogs on YouTube or feature in a Blog post right here and of course you will be credited! Why not get involved?
